Who is MUZA?

My name is Ana, and I shape emotions into clay.

MUZA was born in a moment of silence — during the uncertainty of the pandemic, when I turned to clay to find peace, presence, and something to hold onto. I had no training, no background in art. Just intuition, curiosity, and a need to feel with my hands what I couldn’t put into words.

I live in the Portuguese countryside, surrounded by my garden, chickens, ducks, and pigeons. Here, life moves slowly. It’s not just where I live — it’s how I live. This rhythm shapes everything I create.

My ceramics are surreal and emotional. Eyes that cry. Lips with fire. Floral forms that seem to see. I don’t make functional objects. I make companions — small sculptures that hold a piece of my story and speak to yours.

MUZA is my way of honoring imperfection, mystery, and slow beauty.
